Awareness Education was identified as the first need of the area and actually, with this we have started the program from the beginning. After doing it for 3 years during the current year, we have achieved considerable success in this field. In 2006-2007, our volunteers have covered all the 50 villages of this program. Compared to the previous years the popular response was much more encouraging.

The general awareness education programs focused on the fundamental rights, literacy, health, hygiene and peoples’ organization and government schemes for IGP. We have established also a school named LITTLE FLOWER ENGLISH SCHOOL (nursery to class X). We also provide a well facilitate hostel for students. These awareness education programs were implemented through village camp, village festivals, village market and other festive occasions.

BAPU has a volunteer in every project village. The main target for 2006-2007 was to form village committees including men, women and youth in all villages. By the end of the year, we have succeeded in having formed committees in all project villages with their own President, and members.

The plan is to involve them in the implementation and management of all projects in these villages.

The main objective of 2004-2005 was to form SELF-HELP-GROUP (SHG) for socially and economically promotion of the rural poor people.

Compared to the previous years the popular response was much more encouraging. Now the total number of SHG is 40. The detail formation is as follows:

The main thrust of 2004-2005 was in introducing some specific training programs for self-employment and income generation.
